A CLYDEBANK garage is aiming to raise money for a great cause.

Nine staff members from Elite Land Rover, based on South Douglas Street, are set to compete in the Tough Mudder event on Saturday, June 15 at Drumlanrig Castle in Dumfries and Galloway.

Owner Paul Griffiths along with Martin Kane, Shawn Lota, Davie Rocks, Tom Hume, Demi Lee Stewart, Siobhan McLaughlin, Jamie Archer, Callum Harris and Brian McNab are hoping to raise £300 for St Margaret's Hospice.

The circuit sees those involved attempt a 10-mile run through an obstacle course.

And Brian explained the importance of raising money for the charity.

He said: "We decided to do this back in January and wanted to give something back to the community.

"There has been a running a joke at work about who will be able to finish it.

"A few people go to the gym and some others do not, so it will be interesting.

"St Margaret's Hospice is only five minutes away from the garage and as a local business it feels right to fundraise for a local charity."
