Faifley Art Group is set to open an exhibition at the end of the month.

'Still Hanging Together’ will open in Gallery 5, Clydebank Town Hall on Friday, May 24, and will run until July 2.

It will be open Tuesday to Friday, 9.30am-4.30pm.

The group also intends to have some artists in residence sessions as it did at previous exhibitions.

Founded in 1988, Faifley Art Group is a sociable group of 25 members that meets every Wednesday morning.

The group is made up of 26 members with no formal training, and who work at their own pace with their own materials.

They meet at Dalmuir C E Centre.

Since it was founded, the group has held exhibitions at a number of prestigious venues, including Glasgow's Botanic Gardens, Hillhead Library, Lomond Shores and Backdoor Gallery at Dalmuir Library.

Christine Smith, of Faifley Art Group, said: "There is a lot of work involved in putting an exhibition together and it is always exciting to see it in place (and also a relief).

"Previous exhibitions have been well received, judging by comments made to us and in the visitors' book, and we hope that the public will come along and give us their support for this one. As usual, there is a wide variety of styles and content, for sale."
