Police have provided an update after a brutal broad daylight 'stabbing' in Glasgow.

We previously reported the incident took place on Katewell Place in the city's Drumchapel area on Saturday, March 23.

The force says they were called to a report of a 35-year-old man being seriously assaulted.

It is understood he was stabbed.

Following the shocking attack, the man was rushed to hospital for treatment.

Now, officers have confirmed an investigation into the incident remains ongoing.

A spokesperson for Police Scotland previously said: "Around 9.50am on Saturday, March 23, we received a report that a 35-year-old man had been seriously assaulted in Katewell Place, Glasgow.

"He was taken to Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

"Enquiries are ongoing."
