A CHARITY has held its Free Family Easter Event for the third year running.
Flourishing Faifley is a charity that works on promoting positive interaction between their green space community garden and the community.
The event took place on Saturday, March 30 and attracted a large number of guests. Children in attendance had the chance to make arts and crafts, get their faces painted and also compete in the Easter bonnet competition.
And founder Tony Ercoli was keen to highlight the importance of such an event during the cost of living crisis.
He said: "We saw 474 people come through the gates of the secret garden to enjoy a day with their friends and family filled with Easter crafts, face painting, glitter tattoos, cookie decorating, easter activities and plenty of laughs and smiling faces.
"We were also joined by our friends at Sense of Nature who brought along some weird and wonderful creatures for the families to enjoy and even brought along the Easter bunny.
"Our friends at West Coast Wings, Grant Fellows, Mark Murrie and Varrii McCafferty brought along their awesome birds of prey for the families to see and enjoy.
"We then had Provost Douglas McAllister support the event and gave him the hard task of judging the Easter bonnet competition.
"Well done to our winners. It was extremely hard to choose the winners as all the kids made some great bonnets.
"It was so great to see all the community come together and enjoy a day in the sunshine with their families and friends and showing the true meaning of community spirit which Faifley shows every single time.
"A lot of hard work goes into the running and organising of the events but seeing the support we have from you all, and the impact it has in our community, makes it all worthwhile, and we absolutely love what it brings to our community."
