A MAN has been banned for two years from any contact with the ex he assaulted.

Barry Bruce was convicted of acting in aggressive manner, seizing car keys from the woman, refusing to let her leave the property, uttering threats, and shouting towards her.

The 41-year-old also assaulted her and repeatedly pushed her on the body, causing her to fall.

The crimes happened between September 1 and 30, 2022 at a property in Clydebank. Both were aggravated by being against a partner or ex.

Bruce, of Alexander Street, Alexandria, appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on March 26 for sentencing.

Sheriff Frances McCartney imposed a community payback order with 150 hours of unpaid work in the community to be completed within 12 months.

He also imposed a two-year non-harassment order to protect Bruce's ex from any contact by any form of communication or visit to her home.
