A DRUMCHAPEL man has admitted being on the rail line and then attacking officers who arrested him.
Gary Anderson, of Kendoon Avenue, appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on March 5 over charges dating to 2022.
The 29-year-old pleaded guilty to trespassing on the railway line near to Balloch station on March 26 that year.
He also admitted assaulting a police officer by punching him on the head, and to assaulting another officer by spitting at him at the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
The Crown accepted he was not guilty of behaving in a threatening or abusive manner, shouting, swearing and uttering threats of violence at the rail station and hospital.
Sheriff Maxwell Hendry said: "Spitting at police officers is an egregious crime."
He deferred sentence to April 2 for social work reports.
