CLYDEBANK’S MSP has launched her Christmas card competition aimed at primary five and six pupils.

Marie McNair has contacted all local schools across Clydebank, Milngavie and Bearsden North areas to invite them to get involved with her creative design initiative.

The festive fun competition has become an annual tradition for Ms McNair, with the winning entry becoming her well-wishing card for the year, which is sent out to community groups and politicians – including the First Minister – to wish them a Merry Christmas.

This year, Ms McNair confirmed there will be a prize for first, second and third place.

She told the Clydebank Post: “I’m delighted to be running my Christmas card competition again and hope as many schools as possible can get involved.

“Last year, we had some great designs, so I look forward to seeing the creativity of our school pupils this year.”

All cards must be sent to Ms McNair by November 27.

The MSP asks that no card be bigger than A4 size and that full name/school/school year/age are written on the back of each card.

Entries can be sent to marie.mcnair.msp@parliament.scot or posted to Marie McNair MSP, Titan Enterprise Business Centre, 1 Aurora Avenue, Queens Quay, Clydebank, G81 1BF.
