Glasgow-based firm Arnold Clark has announced that it is opening over 150 new apprenticeship places in various disciplines across the company.

From today (November 3, 2023) those interested in learning about the trade can apply to be part of the company's March 2024 intake.

These positions will be available across the UK with many of these offering training in traditional automotive roles such as technicians, spray painters, body repairers and parts advisors, alongside additional roles in customer services.

The apprenticeship programme offers anyone over the age of 16 the chance to gain new skills as well as a recognised qualification.

Apprentices with Arnold Clark have access to a range of benefits such as free driving lessons, opportunities to boost their earnings and many more.

On top of the first-hand experience gained at various Arnold Clark sites across the country, apprentices will also attend week-long training sessions at the industry-accredited GTG Training Centres.

Carole-Anne McCann, Group Recruitment Manager at Arnold Clark, said: "Apprenticeships help unlock skills for life. Not only do apprentices gain a recognised qualification, but they also learn other lifelong skills, such as communication and teamwork, that they can use throughout their career.

"Our apprenticeships allow young people to start on a career path from day one and earn while they learn. We’re proud of our track record of helping apprentices go on to a successful career, both at Arnold Clark and within the wider industry."
