A CLYDEBANK community group has announced its winter programme for budding historians.
The Clydebank Local History Society (CLHS) will kick off its winter syllabus on October 2 with a lesson on Viking's relationship with the area.
The group, who previously met Morison Memorial Church, will now meet in a new location in the form of the Dalmuir Barclay Church.
Each term, the group brings a mix of local history and archaeology along with Scottish History and talks of a more general interest to those who wish to find out more about the region they live in.
The full season 2023/24 includes talks and lectures on topics such as The Battle of Mugdock, A Kilbowie Hill Timeline and Local Coalmines.
The society also organises 'mini-outings' with the first pencilled in for Saturday, October 21 at 11am with a visit to Kelvinhall Museum Resource Centre.
As always, the group is keen to attract new members, with membership costing £20 for the season.
Those not wishing to become a member are asked to make a £2 donation.
