THE rain couldn't dampen the Whitecrook spirit as the area's Centre81 held its annual Summer Gala Day last weekend.
Fun fair rides, a barbeque, a DJ, face painting, arts and crafts and home baking were all on show as those in attendance braved the downpour as the heavens above opened up.

Organisers had to continuously jump between having the event outside and moving it inside Centre81 but everyone who was there agreed it was, once again, an afternoon to remember.
Revellers munched on scones with jam and cream, strawberries and cream and teas and coffees as well as cupcakes for the kids.
And local music talent took to the stage to serenade the hardy souls who had waited out the weather.
Good job folks!
