IT was all smiles as Bankies and the sun came out to mark the end of a local summer programme.
Over the last few weeks Flourishing Faifley, a charity based in the town, has been running various fun-filled activities free of charge to keep little ones and their parents, carers, and guardians entertained.
These ranged from cake decorating to archery to old-school games and more.
To mark the programme coming to an end families were treated to a pizza party which went down a treat.
Tony Ercoli, founder of Flourishing Faifley, said: “What an amazing end to our summer of family fun. You couldn’t ask for more; families, fun, and food.
“Loads of families joined in the activities during the last week. We had bug hunting, arts & crafts, cake decorating face painting, old school games, archery, giant connect four, basketball, and more.
“We also had some awesome birds of prey from our friends at Hootenany Owls in Langbank. We finished with a delicious delivery of fresh pizzas for the families to enjoy from McMonagles Boat in Clydebank.”
The charity has been praised on social media for its summer of fun.
One person said: “Glad Faifley is still community-minded. Nice to see it flourishing.”
A second added: “My two grandkids had a blast, met new people, and had a great time. Thank you!”
A third commented: “Brilliant, well done to all involved.”
To officially mark the end of the summer holidays Flourishing Faifley is hosting a beach party disco on August 11.
The event will be held at Skypoint Community Centre and will run from 6pm to 8pm.
Entry will be free.
The charity notes that children heading along to the disco must be accompanied at all times.
