A LITTLE rain couldn’t dampen the spirits of staff and residents at a Clydebank care home as they hosted a successful gala day.
The event, held at Kingsacre Care Home in Duntocher on Saturday, saw Bankies brave the elements to raise funds to support the facility.
Over £700 was raised on the day which will now go towards fun-filled activities for the residents.
A variety of entertainment was on offer, including a bouncy castle, pony petting, hook-a-duck, face painting and a live DJ set.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service joined the party, with visitors able to sit in the front seat of a fire engine.
Bankies were also able to enjoy various hot food and drinks, ice cream and home baking.
Mark Pickering, team leader at Kingsacre, told the Post: “What a great day we had, even though the weather wasn’t on our side.
“We raised well over £700 for the residents’ activities. We – staff and home manager Karlynn Wheelan – want to give a special thanks to all the families who donated raffle prizes.”
