A CLYDEBANK pervert who sent two men sexual photographs from his home has been tagged.

Gideon Currie appeared at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on July 10 where he was sentenced for being caught with indecent images of children for a second time.

We previously told in March this year that his case was deferred so the original sheriff dealing with the matter could sentence him.

Currie, who also uses the alias Matthew Sweeney, also pleaded guilty to sending two men photographs of an intimate and sexual nature from his home on January 16, 2021.

The 26-year-old had previously admitted having indecent photographs or pseudo-photographs of children in his possession at his home on various dates between April 1, 2019 and June 16, 2021 at his home address.

Previously the Post told how in 2016 Currie was put on the sex offenders register for 30 months for taking photos of children.

Currie was given a community payback order under social work supervision for three years and placed on the Sex Offenders Register for six years.

He was also tagged for six months and ordered to remain in his home from 7pm until 7am.
