Dumbarton's MSP has praised the work of Children’s Hospices Across Scotland (CHAS) after paying a visit to Robin House in Balloch.

Jackie Baillie and UK shadow health secretary Wes Streeting visited the facility last week to see the work undertaken for children with life-shortening conditions and their families.

Robin House is one of two Scottish hospices run by CHAS, which also operates the ‘CHAS at Home’ service.

Ms Baillie, who is also Scottish Labour’s health spokesperson, took part in some activities with the children during her visit.

She said: “It was a pleasure to visit Robin House with my colleague Wes Streeting. CHAS do fantastic work to support children and young people who are living with life-shortening conditions.

“They provide a range of services to families who are facing the toughest of times. Their work is invaluable to those families and to us all.
