DRIVERS are being warned of delays after the closure of a stretch of the southbound A82 between Dumbarton and Clydebank.

Traffic Scotland announced the closure on Thursday (December 15) morning.

The southbound carriageway after Dunglass Roundabout at Old Kilpatrick remains shut to all traffic after it first closed shortly before 3am.

Traffic Scotland says the closure is due an unstable verge, and that the route will be shut 'until further notice'.

Drivers are being urged to followed the signed diversion route.

Cars and light vehicles are being directed through Bowling, but the diversion for HGVs is much longer, via Balloch, Drymen, Bearsden and Anniesland.
