A DALMUIR pub has suddenly shut its doors without prior notice - with reports of a sex romp on the pool table within the premises.

The Horse & Barge did not open for business on Tuesday, October 4 as X-rated pics leaked online and seemed to show three people engaging in late-night sex acts on the pool table.

The owners of the Dumbarton Road establishment Star Pubs and Bars, the pub business of Heineken UK, told the Post they were given no prior warning of the pub’s closure.

A spokesperson said: "The operator of The Horse & Barge is self-employed and is responsible for the day-to-day management of the pub, including its staff and activities.

"They have closed the pub without notice and we are working to get it reopened as quickly as possible."

On Tuesday, the Post received graphic pictures from several sources seeming to show a sexual act taking place inside The Horse & Barge.

However, the Post understands that the decision to close the bar was taken last week, with the claims the business was "no longer viable" and "draining money".

Last Friday, September 30, the pub held a Zander Nation Bounce Bingo night, with no public indication the drinking hub was on the verge of closing its doors.

The shock closure comes just seven months after the pub was reopened in March, just in time for St Patrick’s day celebrations.

Other local pubs have since poked fun at the saucy pics.

Chandlers, on Kilbowie Road, wrote on their Facebook page: “Thinking we should start taking a deposit for a game of pool.”
