A POPULAR family fun day is set to return after a three-year Covid-enforced absence.

The event, organised by Linkes Community Project, will take place in the Lincoln Avenue and Kestrel Road estate car park in Knightswood on August 27.

It is due to be the seventh year of the free family fun day, which aims to bring the community together.

Tina Loewe, a community worker at Linkes, said: "We are really excited to be able to bring people back together because it has been so long.

"We weren't able to use our office, located onsite at the multi-storey flats, for quite a while during Covid so we're just happy to be back.

"We look forward to seeing everyone again."

Family fun

A number of exciting activities will be on offer on the day as well as fair rides, face painting, food and entertainment.

Proceedings will run between noon and 4pm.

The community-led group’s name ‘Linkes’ is made up of a combination of Lincoln Avenue and Kestrel Road. Linkes provides opportunities for learning and community facilities for the benefit of the local community.
