A DRUMCHAPEL carer is going the extra mile to raise money for charity by challenging himself to run seven marathons in seven days.
Ian Sproull will be taking on this daunting task between August 8 and August 14 in an effort to raise funds for Scotland’s largest veterans charity, Erskine.
The 40-year-old works as a carer at Erskine and said he wants to do his bit for the organisation which supports nearly 1,000 veterans every year.
Ian said he has been training hard for this challenge and looks forward to taking it on.
He said: “I am very proud to work for Erskine and am very keen to do my bit for the Veterans we care for.
“I have been training really hard to prepare for this challenge. Part of my training has been running every day, which I will continue, all the way up to this challenge.
“All monies raised will be going straight to Erskine.”
