A MAN has been seriously injured after he was stabbed during an attack in Knightswood.

Officers responded to the scene at Dyke Road close to its junction with Killoch Drive after the alarm was raised at around 9am on Saturday, July 23.

A 23-year-old man was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital for treatment.

Detectives are now appealing to trace the suspect said to be involved in this serious assault. 

They are described as a white male, in his 20s, around 6ft tall, of medium build, wearing a black hooded jumper with the hood up and black jogging trousers.

Police Scotland confirmed officers have been investigating the attack and checking CCTV but are urging anyone with any information to come forward.

Detective Constable Jennifer Boyle, of Drumchapel CID, said: "A man sustained serious injuries as a result of this incident and it is vital we trace whoever is responsible.

"Officers have been carrying out enquires and checking CCTV but we'd like to hear from anyone, who was in the area and who saw what happened.

"We are especially keen to hear from anyone who may have dash-cam or mobile phone footage from the time of the incident."
