AN incredible Bankie has now completed her mission to climb Mount Kilimanjaro in her late aunt’s memory.
Lorna McDougall successfully reached the summit of the highest single free-standing standing mountain in the world at around 8am on July 19.
Lorna hailed the experience as “truly amazing” and has now raised £2,200 which will be donated to Clydebank Musical Society, a group which meant the world to her aunt, Irene Muirhead.
Speaking to the Post shortly after reaching the summit Lorna said: “It was an amazing experience – challenging, exhilarating, humbling.”
