THREE men, two of them from Clydebank, have appeared in court in connection with serious organised crime allegations.

Kevin Tait, 39, Paul Tait senior, 42 and Sean Coleman, 29, appeared in private at Dumbarton Sheriff Court for a series of charges.

All three men face an allegation of involvement in serious organised crime under the Criminal Justice and Licensing (Scotland) Act 2010.

Kevin Tait, from Clydebank, also faces a charge of agreeing with at least one other person to become involved in serious organised crime.

Paul Tait Snr, of Bearsden, faces the same allegation, as well as four separate charges alleging he was in possession of a controlled drug.

Mr Coleman, also from Clydebank, and Mr Tait and Mr Tait senior made no plea or declaration during the hearing at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Tuesday.

They were committed for further examination and released on bail to return to court at a later date.
