PLANS to build more than 30 new homes on an empty and derelict site in Dalmuir have been re-submitted to West Dunbartonshire Council.

Applicants Michael Pater Design are seeking permission for 32 two-bedroom flats, in three separate four-storey blocks, in Auld Street.

A previous application to develop the site was lodged in July of last year but was withdrawn two months later after the council’s environmental health office said a full report on any contamination at the brownfield site would be needed before any building work could start.

The site was originally used for a school, then for a railway yard, and most recently for waste compacting.
