A CLYDEBANK daycare service has been given a glowing review by inspectors – as well as parents.

The Care Inspectorate made an unannounced visit of the daycare service based at Linnvale Early Learning and Childcare Centre back in October and have now published their findings.

They gave the facility and service, based next to Linnvale Primary, three top “very good” ratings and one “good” ranking.

There were no recommendations or requirements for improvement on any of the four measures. And it marks a boost from just three years ago when the centre was “adequate”.

Inspectors said they found children playing outdoors, drawing pictures, building houses with Duplo and many other games and activities.

One parent told them: “The staff are all very welcoming and friendly and my boys love all the activities and routine that they provide. I am very impressed with the resources that the nursery has as well as the use of outdoor play and I love that we get updated with pictures and other information on the dojo app.”

And other said: “I honestly can’t praise all the girls at Linnvale nursery enough. Every single member of staff go above and beyond for all the children.

“My oldest girl attended Linnvale last year before going into P1. Her last year in nursery before her transition to primary could of been a hard year due to Covid and lockdown. All the staff in Linnvale were amazing.”

A council spokeswoman said: “We are very pleased with the report which clearly shows the great partnership between the staff, children, parents and carers at Linnvale ELCC. During the visit inspectors saw happy, confident and relaxed children having fun while playing together.

“The report also highlighted the strong leadership within the centre and how this has impacted positively with the children and staff who are committed to ensuring every child is nurtured and supported to reach their full potential.”
