ANYONE looking to catch one last gig this year (...or two, or three...) is well set with the offering throughout the Scottish Music Scene.
There may only be a few weeks left of a dreaded 2021, but that is still ample time to make up for the lack of shows from January to mid-August.
Indeed, some of the bands gearing up for an end-of-year show are likely to be making huge waves in 2022. Missing out on seeing them this month would be criminal.
While Alex Amor announced her show at Tut's tomorrow (Thursday) has been postponed, there is still plenty more set to go ahead at the time of writing.
Friday night officially marks the weekend before Christmas and, as such, a night out is always on the cards... hopefully.
Bathgate has a fair offering with Static Satellites performing at Midnight Breakfast Club with The Volts and Jake Davies, an incredible line-up for just £6, with the mighty Anchor Lane performing with Crashkid! at DreadnoughtRocks for less than one shiny £10 note.
For those missing out on his Dundee show, Billy Mitchell continues with his three-date tour with a show at The Tunnels in Aberdeen on Friday, featuring The Shackles and Dead Shadows.
Mitchell also performs at King Tut's, supported by The Rah's and The Roov on Thursday, Dec 23.
Into the weekend proper and there is a high-energy show in wait with Memes at McChuills, supported by SLIX and Lee Patterson.
The impressive Voodoos also take to the stage at The Mash House on Saturday evening, in a show not to be missed.
Talented singer-songwriter Colin Macleod also performs at The Tunnels in Aberdeen on Saturday (Dec 18), Òran Mór in Glasgow on Sunday (Dec 19), and The Mash House in Edinburgh (Dec 21). Support on all dates comes from Scott C Park.
There are a few more tasty shows on the go as the countdown to Christmas continues with Gallus at St Luke's on Tuesday, Dec 21.
And another show that should not be missed is the incredible Retro Video Club at The Caves in Edinburgh on Wednesday, Dec 22.
Beyond the big day and those looking to cut a rug on Boxing Day can head over to DreadnoughtRocks in Bathgate for Jason Sweeney.
And if live music is the way to go for Hogmanay, then Cameron Barnes at King Tut's is a shout. Support on the night comes from Tommy McGuire and Rachel White.
