The first of 30 trees donated to Clydebank Rotary Club by Caulders Garden Centre have been planted.
Last week, pupils and staff from Clydebank High, St Mary’s Primary and Goldenhill Primary schools attended the grounds of the Clydebank and District Golf Club to plant the first tree.
Rotarian Sandra Bennie told the Post: “It is hoped that as well as contributing to physically helping our environment, the trees will give a lasting reminder of many of the concerns raised at COP26 by local school children.”
The club have also recently raised funds for Erskine, the charity for former service personnel, and St Margaret of Scotland Hospice.
