A MAN from Clydebank has been arrested in relation to terrorism offences after he was stopped in Dover port in Kent on Tuesday, police said.
A 40-year-old from the town and a 44-year-old from Glasgow were initially stopped trying to leave the UK by Counter Terrorism Border Police officers.
After a search of the vehicle they were travelling in, the men were arrested on suspicion of preparing acts of terrorism.
Police said searches of properties in Clydebank and Glasgow have taken place and both men have been bailed pending further inquiries.
