THREE young footballers from Clydebank have been named as Active School's latest West Dunbartonshire 'young sports stars'.
Grace Crombie, Harry Hamilton and Lewis Leavy are all pupils at St Stephen’s Primary School, where Scotland star John McGinn was once a pupil.
Grace is a member of the Celtic Girls Football Academy and trains with Celtic twice a week, Clydebank Boys Football Club once a week and also participates in extra one-to-one training sessions.
Harry was also nominated Harry plays for Kilpatrick Football Team, training once a week and playing a match at the weekend.
His performance is said to be “improving all the time”, with PE being one of his favourite subjects.
Lewis has been playing in football teams since he was five years old, firstly with Drumchapel Amateurs, then the St Mirren Football Academy
He currently plays as a striker for Motherwell and trains with the Lanarkshire club twice a week.
In school is a “hard worker” and like his classmate, PE is one of his favourite subjects.
The Active Schools Team are always looking for new volunteers to help get children in West Dunbartonshire more active, more often.
