The Golden Friendships Club has been confirmed as the nominated charity for this year’s Dunbartonshire Chamber of Commerce Christmas lunch.

The Clydebank charity is located close to the Golden Jubilee Hotel, where the lunch is being held, and is popular in the local area for the work that the charity does to promote social inclusion.

Jim McLaren of the Golden Friendships Club said: “We are delighted that the Chamber is supporting Golden Friendships as the nominated charity for the Christmas lunch this year.

“Support from the business community is so important to us and we are always keen to raise awareness about the charity too.

“We will be encouraging our business contacts to support the event by attending, providing raffle prizes and donating.”

Businesses and guests can raise money by taking a table or buying a ticket for the event and donating, providing a raffle prize and entering the raffle on the day.

The lunch – open to members and non-members – will take place on Thursday, December 16.
