CLYDEBANK’S shoppers went in search of some spook-tacular prizes at the weekend as the Clyde Shopping Centre played host to a fang-tastic Hallowe’en event.

Almost 30 stores in the centre took part in a special scavenger hunt, with prize-seekers picking up entry forms from the centre’s customer service desk before heading off in search of hidden letter clues in or around the participating shops.

The shops participating in the event, which ran throughout Saturday and Sunday, were Supercuts, News & Magz, Officers Club, Sylvania Services, Debra, Cuurie & Quirk, The Entertainer, TUI, Militia, Trespass, H&T Pawnbrokers, Greggs, Claire’s, Shelter, Cash Generator, Kitchen, TJ Hughes, Timpson, The Works, Shoezone and CEX.

Once they’d completed their mission, scavenger hunters took their forms back to the customer service desk - where a tasty Hallowe’en-themed treat was awaiting all those who finished the task successfully.

And that wasn’t the end of the story for some of those who took part - with 20 lucky entrants due to find out this week whether they’ve won a fantastic prize courtesy of the Clydebank Post.

Up for grabs are five Google Home Minis, five Amazon Echo Dots, five Kindle Fire tablets, and Go Air bluetooth earbuds.

Centre manager Andew Forrester told the Post afterwards: “Thank you to everyone who came along and enjoyed our Halloween Hunt at Clyde Shopping Centre.

“We really enjoyed seeing everyone dressed up and the atmosphere in the centre was brilliant.

“We had 28 stores taking part and many staff went above and beyond with outstanding costumes and giving extra treats out.

“We hope all the children enjoyed their goody bags, and good luck to everyone who entered the prize draw- we will be contacting the winners this week.

“Twenty people will win an amazing range of prizes thanks to the Clydebank Post.”
