Clydebank FC fans can travel to their team's Scottish Cup second round replay with Elgin City this Saturday for just £5 thanks to a generous donation from a club sponsor.

FC Roofing and Cladding have come forward with the contribution in a bid to get as many Bankies fans as possible making the nearly 400-mile round trip to Borough Briggs.

Buses will leave the Ettrick Bar from 9am, with a pick-up stop in Hardgate at 9.10am and a final collection at The Atlantis Bar ten minutes later.

Paul Cummings from the Clydebank FC committee told the Post: “We’re absolutely delighted to receive such wonderful supporter from Stephen Meehan and the FC Roofing team once again.

“His willingness to assist as many Bankies fans as possible to make the trip to Elgin to get behind Moff and the boys is outstanding and very much appreciated by all at the club.

“We’d urge as many as possible to join us for a good old fashioned Scottish Cup away day and book their seat as soon as possible.”

The club head into the replay after Monday night’s 1-1 draw at Holm Park, where Nicky Little's second-half earned the hosts a well-deserved replay with the League Two outfit.

The reward for the winners in Saturday's tie - which will be played to a finish, with extra time and penalties if required - will be a home fixture in the third round with League One side Clyde.

Supporters can book their seat by contacting the club on Twitter, @Clydebankfc, or by emailing trust@clydebankfc.com.
