A TEENAGER has been arrested and charged in connection with an attack near the Forth and Clyde Canal in Blairdardie earlier this year.
On Saturday, April 17, 2021 a 26-year-old woman and a 30-year-old man were treated in hospital for serious head and back injuries after being attacked at a grassy area on Blairdardie Road, near the canal path.

Police have now announced that a 17-year-old teen has been arrested in connection with the incident.
He was released on an undertaking to appear at Glasgow Sheriff Court at a later date.
A report has been submitted to the procurator fiscal.
