COUNCILLORS are set to approve the investment of £2 million of local taxpayers’ cash in plans for a new marine technology park in Dalmuir.
Members of the infrastructure, regeneration and economic development committee at West Dunbartonshire Council will be asked today (Wednesday) to approve the spend, from the council’s regeneration fund, to help with the delivery of the planned Scottish Marine Technology Park at the former Carless oil refinery site, which has lain empty and derelict since 1992.
The Malin Group bought the site in 2017 and secured planning permission for the project in April 2019.
