PLANS to build a new activity centre on the banks of the canal in the centre of Clydebank are set to take a step forward tomorrow.
Proposals for the ‘Clydebank Can on the Canal’ centre will be considered by a key West Dunbartonshire Council (WDC) committee.
A report for the council’s infrastructure, regeneration and economic development (IRED) committee says the centre will be run by Y Sort It and will focus on cycling activities for families and young people.

The report says that following the allocation of £747,000 from the Scottish Government for the centre, WDC itself will contribute a further £200,000.
The centre, according to the report, is planned to be complete and operational by September 2022.
The report will be considered by the committee on Wednesday, September 15.
