The body of a man from Duntocher has been discovered in a home in Dumbarton, police have confirmed.

Emergency services attended at Talisman Avenue on Wednesday afternoon where a 65-year-old man was found.

His death is not being treated as suspicious.

The man is understood to be Kenneth Thomson, 65. He was recently added to the sex offenders register for three years after admitting sending explicit images of himself to an adult pretending to be a 14-year-old girl.

The offences took place on various occasions between October 27 and November 12, 2019, from a property in Morrison Street, Duntocher.

He was sentenced on July 30 at Dumbarton Sheriff Court, which heard he had previously been forced to move home. He was under a 14-week curfew and was to carry out 270 hours of unpaid work in the community.

A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “A 65-year-old man was found dead within his house in Talisman Avenue, Dumbarton on the afternoon of Wednesday, August 11.

"The death is not being treated as suspicious and a full report will be forwarded to the procurator fiscal.” ​

Police are also investigating stones being thrown at and smashing the living room window of the same property after 10.30pm on Saturday, August 7.
