A MAN was pulled from the canal in north-west Glasgow late last night.

Emergency crews were called to the scene at the Forth and Clyde Canal near Rotherwood Avenue in Knightswood at around 11.20pm on Sunday, August 1. 

The man was rescued and taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.

A police spokeswoman said: "We were made aware of concern for a man in the Forth and Clyde Canal near Rotherwood Avenue in Glasgow around 11.20pm on Sunday, August 1.

“The man was safely helped from the water and taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.”
