Crowds lined the banks of the Clyde this week to watch as the cruise ship Azamara Quest sailed “doon the watter” on her way back to work.
The £150 million ship is one of three that had been “laid up” at the King George V Dock in Glasgow since June of last year as a result of Covid.
But with the travel and tourism industry now beginning to show signs of recovery, the ship left her berth on Monday en route for Cadiz in Spain.
Her sister ships, Azamara Pursuit and Azamara Journey, are expected to follow in her wake in the coming weeks. (Photo by Ken McGirr)
