A MAN who threw a stone at a window in Dalmuir is to be assessed for a tough regime of testing and treatment for his drug addiction – despite his own misgivings about how he would cope.
Scott Ferns, of Crescent Court, previously admitted throwing the rock at a property in the same block of flats and placing a woman in a state of fear or alarm on August 11, 2019.

At a sentencing hearing at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Tuesday, July 13, Sheriff Hugh McGinty was told 33-year-old Ferns “feels he would struggle with a DTTO [drug treatment and testing order] at the moment”.
Ferns’ solicitor added that his client was in a “particularly fragile state of mind”.
Sheriff McGinty ordered an assessment for a DTTO regardless and the case was adjourned until Tuesday, August 10.
