Police are appealing for information following a racist incident involving a child on board a train to Dalmuir.

British Transport Police ((BTP) say the incident took place on board a train between Bridgeton and Dalmuir at about 4pm on Saturday, March 20.

British Transport Police has released CCTV images of a man they want to speak to in relation to the event.

Officers believe that the male shown in the images may have information that can assist them with their investigation and would urge the male shown or any members of the public who recognise him to contact police.

He is described as approximately 60 years of age, heavy build, short greyish hair and glasses.

He was wearing a blue Adidas hooded top with three white stripes down the sleeves with a black shirt underneath, blue trousers, black trainers and he was carrying a white shopping bag
