A HELENSBURGH man has been charged with using a fake bank note at a town shop.
A store worker in West Princes Street contacted police on March 10 after discovering a fake £50 note when cashing up, resulting in a review of CCTV cameras and an extensive enquiry.
This week police said a 27-year-old man from West Princes Street has now been charged with a crime under the Forgery and Counterfeiting Act.
A report will be sent to the procurator fiscal.
