TRAINS to and from Dalmuir, and between Airdrie and Balloch, are being disrupted after a lorry collided with a railway bridge.

ScotRail said the incident, which happened between Drumchapel and Drumry stations, meant trains between Dalmuir and Westerton were being diverted to run via Yoker instead of via Singer.

On Twitter the rail operator said: The bridge will need to be examined further by @NetworkRailSCOT staff before services can resume."

Disruption is expected until around 1pm on Friday.
