Children and pensioners were paid a special visit by the Easter bunny last week.

Charity Community Spirit spent the last three weeks donating 328 chocolate Easter eggs to children in Yoker, Clydebank and Dumbarton to help combat loneliness.

Kat Boyle, who runs the charity, told the Post: “It was all free of charge. It was just for anybody that needed it, especially care homes or people who have been shielding.

“Even though we are based in Yoker we want to help as many people as possible.

“I have been doing community work for years, so knew I wanted to do something Easter related. We usually do something big. We are so keen to get more people involved and be more active in the community.”

The charity is looking forward to welcoming back members at the Albion Club on Halley Street on April 26.
