Children in Bowling were sent on an Easter egg scavenger hunt last week.

Organisers got up early and left clues around the village for the children to find the small chocolate treats.

And then after all the searching the children were able to enjoy a delicious teddy bears’ picnic in the woods.

Older people who have been running Bowling communities activities in the area for over 40 years also received eggs too.

One of the volunteers Lee-Anne McGown said: “Anne and I arranged it last year for the kids during lockdown and decided to do it again this year. We were given cash from the village fund to pay for eggs and The Bay Inn donated money for us to buy crisps and drinks for the children.”

Resident Noreen Shields said: “It was a great day and the village really appreciates all the hard work they put into this. A special thanks to Bowling and Milton Community Council and Bowling Village Hall for donations.”
