A MAN is in critical condition after being found seriously injured in Knightswood in the early hours of this morning.
The 43-year-old was found within a close at a high-rise block of flats in Kirkton Avenue at 3am.
He is in critical condition in the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital.
A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident, and officers are continuing to carry out enquiries.
It is believed that the flats are currently taped off and residents have reported having to sign in and out.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “Around 3am on Monday, April 5, a 43-year-old man was found injured within a close in Kirkton Avenue, Glasgow.
“He was taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital where he is currently being treated for a serious leg injury.
"Hospital staff describe his condition as critical.
“A 42-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and enquiries are ongoing.”
