About £70,000 worth of drugs was allegedly recovered from a police raid in Faifley on Good Friday.
Officers armed with a search warrant went into a property in Auchencraig Road around 9.15am on April 2. The drugs are believed to be Etizolam, known as street Valium.
Two people, a 41-year-old man and a woman aged 40, have been arrested and charged in connection with the incident, said police.
They were due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court today, April 3. A report will be submitted to the procurator fiscal.
Detective Inspector Fiona Macarthur, from Argyll and West Dunbartonshire Serious and Organised Crime Team, said: “This recovery is a significant one and will have an impact on those who peddle drugs in our local communities.
"Officers will continue to detect and disrupt the supply and production of drugs and protect those who are affected by this illegal trade.
"We depend on the continued support of our local communities and would encourage anyone with concerns about drugs in their area to call Police Scotland via 101 or alternatively, call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800 555 111."
