A MAN has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a dad in Clydebank just days before Christmas.
Billy McGuire died in hospital after he was found seriously injured in an address in Perth Crescent, Mountblow.
Police were called in the early hours of Monday, December 21, where Mr McGuire, 25, and another man, 34, were rushed to hospital.
Cops have now revealed a 24-year-old man has been arrested and charged over the alleged murder.
Detective chief inspector Alan McAlpine, of the Major Investigation Teams, said: “Our enquiries continue and I want to thank the community for their assistance so far.
"We continue to support Billy's family and urge anyone who has information which can help, and has not yet been in touch, to contact police on 101 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111."
The accused is due to appear at Dumbarton Sheriff Court on Saturday.
