A 37-year-old man has been taken to hospital after being assaulted in the centre of Clydebank.
The incident happened at around 2pm on Tuesday, December 1.
Police say the man was walking in Alexander Street when he was assaulted by a male who is described as wearing a puffer jacket, which was possibly black or grey in colour.
The man was taken to hospital where he received treatment for an injury to his head.
Detective Constable Allison of Clydebank Police Station said: “At this time enquiries are ongoing to establish more detail on this assault and to trace the man responsible.
"I would urge any witnesses, or anyone with information that may assist the police investigation to contact Police Scotland on the non-emergency number 101."
