FIREFIGHTERS have tackled a large fire at a house in Newton Mearns.
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) were called to Ladeside Close at 3.20pm today.
Footage from earlier in the day showed the fire ripping through a first floor window.
Crews remained at the scene hours later.
A crowd of people gathered near to the home meanwhile four fire engines were parked outside and closeby.
An SFRS spokesperson said: “We were alerted at 3.17pm on Wednesday, November 25 to reports of a dwelling fire on Ladeside Close, Newton Mearns, East Renfrewshire.
“Operations Control mobilised four appliances to the scene where they remain in attendance as they work to extinguish a fire within a two-storey detached house.
“There are no reported casualties at this time.”
