A TEENAGER has been left with serious injuries after a crash followed by an assault on Great Western Road in Clydebank, say police.

Officers are appealing for information after the incident at around 6.45pm on Thursday, November 12.

Police were called to the area following reports of a black Volkswagen Golf and a Skoda being driven erratically from the Knightswood area, which resulted in a crash on Great Western Road.

The male occupants of the Skoda then reportedly attacked the Golf and its occupants.

The 17-year-old male driver of the Golf was left with serious injuries as a result of the assault, while two other occupants were uninjured.

Detective Sergeant Peter Jarvis said: “We are appealing to anyone who witnessed this violent attack or the erratic driving which preceded it to please come forward.

“We are also keen to receive any potential dashcam footage from motorists who were in the area around the time in question and may have witnessed the crash.”
