MEMBERS at Dalmuir Golf Club haven’t let the treacherous weather conditions dampen their spirits as they participated in the weekly medal.

Dozens of golfers took to the 18-hole municipal course despite a weekend of heavy rain, high winds and plummeting temperatures. They took part in a Stableford competition dubbed “Blue Team v Green Team”.

And despite an increase in coronavirus cases across the country, which has resulted in stricter guidelines to many sports, golf courses remain open to the public with only minimal restrictions in place.

Following the re-opening of courses back in May, members have been advised to arrive at the course no more than 15 minutes prior to their tee time. The clubhouse locker room, bar and restaurant also remain closed in conjunction with Scottish Government guidelines.

Staff at Dalmuir Golf Course are also required by Scottish Government law to wear face coverings.
