A nine-year-boy has been taken to hospital after being struck by a car.
Emergency services attended the scene on Strathaven Road in Hamilton at around 6.4pm yesterday.
The child was taken to University Hospital for treatment to his injuries.
A 40-year-old man has been charged in connection to road traffic offences.
A Police Scotland spokeswoman said: “We received a report of a road crash involving a 9-year-old boy and a car on Strathaven Road, Hamilton, around 6.40pm on Wednesday, 28 October, 2020.
"The boy was taken to University Hospital Wishaw for treatment.
The 40-year-old male driver was charged in connection with road traffic offences and a report will be submitted to the Procurator Fiscal.”
